Dear Women,
Next month we celebrate the ladies who played a tremendous role in giving us life! Wether or not you have a good or bad, or simply non-existent relationship with your mother. Wether a biological, or adoptive mother, they are part of us and help us to develop into who we are. It’s a day to celebrate all women; current mothers, grandmothers, future mothers, adoptive mothers, soon to be mothers, biological mothers, mothers who have lost children, and women who have influenced someone’s life and acted as a mother figure.
I used Polyvore to put together a gift guide for all of the beautiful ladies in our lives.
I love color coordinating gifts, and all of the above products go great together!

Mom deserves to treat herself. Those of us who are mothers understand the importance of taking time out for ourselves. As a mom, it’s very easy for us to lose our sense of identity, and no longer feel like an individual. We feel like we’re so and so’s mom or wife. We get so caught up in caring for everyone else that we forget that we are special too. This Mother’s Day, remind your mom that she is a beautiful individual who should love herself. And if you’re a mother, remember that you are special, and you deserve to take care of yourself too!
P.S. I wanted to share a poem, that I found in my family history papers, Written by my grandmother who passed away a couple of years ago.
“What A Friend We Have In Mother”
What a friend we have in mother,
Who will all our secrets share,
We should never keep things from her,
Tell her all and she’ll be there.
Oh what tender love she gives us,
When in sorrow or despair,
Then her gently whisper softly,
She will listen, she’ll be there.
Day by day as she grows older,
She’s the nations guiding star,
Don’t forget the prayer she taught you,
You may need them by and by.
Though her hair has turned to silver,
Send her flowers sweet and fair,
Drop a card or send a letter,
She’ll be waiting, she’ll be there.
When her eyes have closed in slumber,
Gently kiss her icy brow,
Fold her hands upon her bossom,
She will rest in Heaven now.
When your days are dark and dreary,
And your cross is hard to bear,
Do not let your memory fail you,
Think of her and she’ll be there.
What a friend we have in mother,
Who will all our secrets share,
We should never keep things from her,
Tell her all and she’ll be there.
Oh what tender love she gives us,
When in sorrow or despair,
Then her gently whisper softly,
She will listen, she’ll be there.
