I was originally in search of a pair of Ralph Lauren riding boots, but decided to stop at Ross and came across these beautiful over the knee boots by Nine West!  The over the knee boots are the perfect fall footwear to add to any autumn or winter outfit.  They are also oh so flattering, why else is everyone obsessed with them and pulls them out as soon as the first leaf falls?!  You can style them so many ways!  Wear them over jeans or leggings to stay extra warm and elongate and slim your legs.  My favorite way to style over the knee boots is with a short dress or skirt.  The little peep of skin is adorable and over the knee boots allow me to wear a skirt or dress in cold weather and still stay warm and covered.  Check out the other ways I styled these boots with a mini skirt and with leggings!

I wore this little faux leather skirt and did some layering with a simple long gray cardigan, also from Ross, and a little black beanie.  To add some pops of color I wore this red and white striped t-shirt from GAP and my favorite red plaid scarf from Macy’s.  I am really loving this outfit for cold fall days!  The husband and I loaded Brady up in the car, got some Starbucks, and spent a brisk day at Jordan Lake.
