So I feel like this shoot is waaayyy different than what I’v been doing and I’m kind of digging it!  During pregnancy I felt really limited in the type of shoots I could do in regards to poses and outfits and while I’m still fairly self conscious about how my body looks at certain angles (I still have like 10-13 lbs left to lose) I am having a lot more fun with planning outfits and shoots and trying different things!  I was really inspired by @tezzamb on Instagram to try more dramatic and funky pictures.  While I’m nowhere near her level of cool, I’m pretty happy with how these turned it being our first time trying a more dramatic shoot like this.  I also played with my editing a lot (as you can tell) when I normally try too keep everything natural and bright looking.

I wore some new black pin tucked flare plants I found at Forever21 and I think they are very flattering and make my thighs look smaller (thighs and butt seem to be where most of my weight was gained, which isn’t too horrible I guess ;))  I wore it with just a basic black button up top I also found at Forever21 forever ago.  To add a pop of color I wore my thrifted pointy toed green heels I talked about in this old post.  I then accessorized with a fun neckerchief and simple black strapped watch.  I was going for an edgier more dramatic look than I normally do and was feeling quite the boss ass bitch in my sassy outfit.  The husband said I had an Olivia Pope power walk in it which completed my life and I can now die in peace.

What do you guys think of this kind of shoot and editing?  Do ya like and should I continue trying new styles of shoots?  Or should I just keep doing what I was doing? Be honest now, it won’t hurt my feeling <3

P.S. My Instagram isn’t as cool as Tezza’s, but I’m working on it 😉 so you should totally follow me @linnstyleblog
