On my latest Amazon Live I shared the products I use to care for my dry blond hair.
Outfit Details: Spring Dress // White Braided Heels // White Quilted Purse
I started with the shampoo and conditioner I’ve been using. I use the Surface Violet Shampoo to tone, brighten, and cleanse my hair. This purple shampoo is my favorite purple shampoo I’ve ever tried! It helps eliminate brassy tones and is perfect for blonds who prefer an ashy white blond. It is also great for people with gray hair who prefer a cooler-toned gray. Even if you don’t have blond or gray hair but what to tone out brassy yellow shades you can use this too!
I have the Surface Violet Toning Conditioner as well. I don’t use it as much as the shampoo because it is not very hydrating or smoothing but I like to mix it with a moisturizing conditioner.
The conditioner I’ve been using is the Monday Hair Care Moisture conditioner. It feels so hydrating and makes my hair feel so smooth! It is cruelty-free, vegan, and paraben-free. It’s made specifically for dry damaged hair and contains natural ingredients like coconut oil and helps prevent protein loss. It also contains hydrolyzed rice protein which is a gluten-free protein molecule that promotes collagen production.
After I wash and condition my hair I put my hair in a microfiber hair wrap and leave it in to get it mostly dry so I don’t have to put too much heat on my hair.
Once it is damp I go in with a prickly pear hair oil. I have been using the Dae hair oil but want to try this prickly pear cactus seed oil from Amazon! I run the oil through the ends on my hair and in the back where my hair gets extra tangled. Then I spray a ton of tresseme heat protectant to prevent damage. The last product I run through the ends of my hair is the Surface Violet Blow Dry Cream that helps brighten smooth and protect the hair.
After adding all of my hair products I brush my hair with a wet brush. I like to add the products before brushing so that the product gets distributed more with brushing. I love the wet brushes because the bristles are flexible the prevent breakage as it brushes and detangles. It is the most gentle brush I’ve ever used and is the only kind of hairbrush I use.
After it’s brushed, I do my at-home blowout with the Revlon 30-in-1 One Step Volumizer which I posted Youtube Tutorial about!
