I’m not typically one to boycott brands just because I disagree with something that someone from the company says. But there are exactly 2 brands I have stopped purchasing from. When a brand shows blatant disrespect towards groups of people, that’s a big NO in my book. I used to get all of my underwear from Victoria’s Secret but after their recent remarks about transgender and plus size women, I’m purchasing my undergarments from anywhere that is NOT VS. I figured a lot of you feel the same way and would appreciate seeing some lingerie brands that embrace all women!
Here are some inclusive lingerie brands to start supporting!
Savage X Fenty
Rihanna’s success with Fenty Beauty has proven that there was always a need for diversity in products! Many brands have been following suit thanks to the queen. Not only is Savage X Fenty size and skin tone inclusive, but everything is STUNNING AF!
I wish I had found Cosabella sooner! As a huge fan of bralettes, it has been very disheartening for me while I’m breastfeeding. I’m typically a B-C cup, but when I’m pregnant or breastfeeding I go up to a DD-DDD cup… It’s very difficult to find bralettes that are big enough for my breasts but tight enough on my rib cage. Cosabella has bralettes specifically designed for these proportions! Their straps are also thicker and adjustable for better support, (which your girl needs)!
I LOVE that Aerie does not retouch their photos! I never realized how desensitized I was to seeing perfectly airbrushed models and just always accepted it as normal.
They offer beautiful bras from sizes 34A-44H and everything in between! Playful Promises‘ lingerie is absolutely stunning and much more inexpensive than I expected!
A lingerie subscription service focused on representation?! Yes, please! The subscription boxes contain lingerie from premium brands that you love!
I love Third Love after reading their CEO’s response to the CMO of Victoria’s Secret for his demeaning comments about plus size and transgender models not “selling the VS Fantasy,” (insert major eye roll). Why is a dude even the CMO of a lingerie brand?! He clearly does not respect women or care about them. I could go on a whole rant here, but Heidi Zak’s response to his statement drew me to Third Love and I can’t wait to order from them!
Not lingerie brands, but they need to be mentioned!
While they don’t sell bras and underwear just yet, Universal Standard has one of the most inclusive size ranges I’ve ever seen! Their clothing ranges from size 00-40 or 4XS-4XL.
This brand is Beyonce approved. Need I say more? Chromat‘s designs are so fun and range from sizes XS-4X!
I hope you all enjoyed this post! I can not wait to start purchasing from these brands that actually strive to empower women!
